Esko's latest packaging structure design software, ArtiosCAD 6.5, provides designers with a prototyping tool for concept (plan) design, product development, and realistic effects. In addition, a large-capacity standard design library is provided. Software users can implement designs from sketches to final drafts. As one of the core components of Esko's end-to-end packaging workflow, Scope products, ArtiosCAD is primarily targeted at designers of corrugated and folding cartons.
Designers now have a true packaging 3D design. Users can start with the CAD model of the product model. The software will automatically adjust a standard ArtiosCAD design dimension to fit the product or user library design. Cross Section and Intersection tools allow users to create internal support accessories and windows that conform to the shape of the product.
3D Connection is a new module of ArtiosCAD 6.5. It can be used as a tool for introducing product models into ArtiosCAD and helps designers to design packaging products that conform to the product. Users can place many 3D industry standard formats including IGES, STEP, CATIA, and Pro Engineer, and by using ArtiosCAD 3D tools, it is possible to create true prototypes and presentations including products and packages.
The 3D Connection is an optional, file-based filter option with pricing as built-in.
